when i wake up
it’s all a blur

feel so empty
shiny shell
feelin’ empty

i’m all alone
i don’t see you
 i’m all alone
i don’t see you

i see the back door
i’ll hit the back door
then i’m outa here

feelin’ empty
shiny shell
feel so empty

i’m on the run
ain’t got a friend
i’m on the run
and i’m freezin’

skin is turnin’ blue
my skin is turnin’ blue
and i think of you

i may never change
i may never change
i may never change
“In the Sky” 1984 (boombox recording - “RED TAPE”)

BREATH
______________________________

all these walls
look brighter in the day
these same cold sheets
look whiter in the light

i was just a hunk of mud
you filled me up with blood
you wrapped these ribs around me
and i can hardly breathe

i can’t breathe
i can’t

i’ll run away
i’ll run away
i’ll get away

it’s all right

i feel your grip so tight
it’s tighter than a noose
it’s tighter than a noose
and i can hardly breathe

i can’t breathe
i can’t

i’ll run away
i’ll run away
i’ll get away
someday

it’s all right
it’s all right
it’s all right

Our freak-a-zoid MOTODADA show, partly a creation of NYC artist Erika Yeomans. It was our only real “art-show” gig. I did myself up in modified mummy attire and my WATCH & PRAY t-shirt. Drummer Dave Dickey had broken his ankle, so brilliant Doldrums vocalist and musical polymath Pete Brightman sat in with us for the show. The Psychic Violents song  “Pete’s Theme” came from this collaboration.
